Liverpool FC and Standard Chartered have launched ‘Inside Anfield’, a virtual reality experience launching ahead of the club’s first home game of the season this weekend against Premier League champions Leicester City.
The VR experience includes a view from inside the players’ dressing room, allowing fans to experience through the eyes of a player what it feels like to be a part of a Jürgen Klopp team talk. The content puts the fan in the players’ shoes, giving them an insight into the team’s inner sanctum in the build up to walking out in front of the home crowd at Anfield.
Inside Anfield will launched on Liverpool FC’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/LiverpoolFC on Wednesday, and will also be available on-site at Anfield for match-day fans to experience using VR headsets on Saturday – the first ever game played in front of the club’s redeveloped Main Stand.
Liverpool FC ambassador Robbie Fowler and ex-player John Barnes also feature, taking fans with them on an Anfield journey.
Karen Fawcett, CEO for retail banking at Standard Chartered, commented: “We’re very proud to have the opportunity to bring this extraordinary Anfield experience to Liverpool fans around the world. This innovative technology really puts you right in the stadium.”
This is just one element of activity Liverpool FC and Standard Chartered will deliver throughout the year for Liverpool FC, according to the club.
