Liverpool FC has announced it has extended the club’s 19-year long relationship with MBNA.

For almost two decades MBNA has issued the Liverpool FC credit card as the club’s official provider. As part of the renewed relationship, it will now become official partner of Liverpool Football Club in the UK.

To celebrate the relationship, MBNA is offering Liverpool FC fans an exclusive opportunity to play at Anfield on 23rd May 2017 in the ultimate challenge; Face the Kop.

Face the Kop will allow fans to follow in the footsteps of LFC heroes Sadio Mané and Philippe Coutinho and attempt to score a goal in front of the Kop by entering a prize draw.

Billy Hogan, managing director and chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC said: “We have enjoyed a long standing relationship with MBNA over the last nineteen years and are delighted to extend that partnership into its third decade.

“We are also thrilled to be broadening the relationship and welcome them as an Official Partner, it is fantastic to partner with a brand that is located in the North West of England and has a deep rooted sporting heritage.”

James Poole, strategy and innovation executive at MBNA said: “We’re using our special connection with Liverpool FC and its legendary supporter base to provide a valuable programme of benefits that make good stuff happen for the real fans of the game.

“Through the MBNA relationship with Liverpool FC, Face The Kop is an exclusive opportunity for fans to experience a unique moment playing on the iconic Anfield pitch.”

The prize draw is open to entries from fans of all clubs – home and away – and closes at 11.59pm 11th May 2017, when eight home team fans and seven away team fans (two tickets per person) will be chosen at random.
