Manchester United are the latest Premier League club to unveil their new home kit for the forthcoming season, with club sponsor Chevrolet debuting on the kit.

The club signed a seven-year agreement in 2012 replacing Aon, worth a reported £53m per season, with the US car giant beginning this summer and will be worn for the first time against LA Galaxy during their US tour on 23rd July.

Coinciding with the start of a new era for the club under Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal, the Nike kit was launched with a video released by the club – watch it at Sport Industry TV.

The kit could be Nike’s last with Manchester United, after media reports suggested that the U.S. sportswear company will not renew its long-running kit supply deal with the club because of ‘the cost of a new contract’.

Nike has been supplying United’s red shirts since 2002 but the current agreement expires next year, with the withdrawal rumoured to clear the way for the club to sign a lucrative new deal with German sportswear company Adidas.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and club partner, Warrior, have released the team’s third kit – a black and white number which fans will be able to see for the first time during the Reds’ pre-season tour when they meet Olympiacos in Chicago on Sunday 27th July.

A club statement read: ‘The chequered sash is new to Anfield and is complemented by a classic red collar – a stylish and performance enhancing kit.’

‘In line with the home and away versions, an embroidered Liver Bird sits prominently as the club crest, while two commemorative Eternal Flames and a 96 logo are positioned on the nape of the neck.’
