Liverpool set to replace Nike with Adidas

Liverpool FC are set to agree a new kit supplier deal with Adidas, which would earn the club roughly £60m a year, according to reports.

The deal would see the German sportswear brand replace the Reds’ current supplier, Nike, from the 2025/26 season.

The news comes at the end of Nike’s current five-year deal. In a tender process for the next contract at the same length, Adidas, which last ­supplied the Anfield club’s kit between 2006 and 2012, won against Nike and Puma.

The agreement will reportedly ensure the current Premier League leaders’ earnings from their kit deal is in line with Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea, who all earn £60-65 million from deals with Adidas, Puma, and Nike respectively.

Liverpool’s current agreement with Nike sees the club receive £30m a year from Nike as a guaranteed base figure before commercial tie-ins, ­performance‑related bonuses and 20% royalty payments on net sales of replica sportswear, which can see the end figure get closer to £60m a season.

The boosted guaranteed figure is significant for Liverpool but still a way off the Premier League record, Manchester United’s £90m per season deal with Adidas.
