Jordans Cereals has been announced as a supplier for both the World Para Athletics Championships and the IAAF World Championships London 2017, while Nordic Sport has been confirmed as a supplier of the World Para Athletics Championships which kick off at the London Stadium this week.
As part of the deals, Jordans Cereals will be supplying athletes, coaches, officials and the 10,000-strong workforce with 350,000 cereal bars during both the World Para Athletics Championships and the IAAF World Championships, while Nordic Sport will provide athletic equipment across the World Para Athletics Championships.

Niels de Vos, championship director of London 2017, said: “Eating healthily is crucial for athletes to ensure they are able to perform well. It is also vital that our workforce is fed well to give them the energy needed to deliver these world class championships. I am delighted that with Jordans as the national supplier of cereal bars we can include a good, healthy snack as part of the food provided to all involved in the summer of world athletics.”
De Vos will be speaking at the Deltatre Sport Industry Breakfast Club alongside NFL UK managing director, Alistair Kirkwood, on 6th September. Find out more here.
Commenting on Nordic Sport’s agreement, De Vos added: “Their experience with previous major championships means we can be confident that top quality equipment will be supplied giving the athletes the best possible opportunity to perform at their best. We look forward to working with them going forward.”

Vicky Cojeen, head of brand at Jordans, said: “We are delighted to be able to supply our Frusli bars to the championships this year. We believe that natural foods produced through sustainable farming, together with over 40 years of expertise in baking and blending, mean we can offer our consumers a great tasting, nutritious breakfast every day. We launched the UK’s first cereal bar and granola and will continue to develop new and exciting breakfast options. Joining with events like this helps us to promote an active and healthy lifestyle for our consumers who are increasingly on the go!”
Dennis Österberg, deputy managing director, Nordic Sport said: “We are happy to add the World Para Athletics Championships to a long list of major athletics events we have worked with in the past 45 years. We are looking forward to many new personal bests and world records from athletes using Nordic Sport equipment.”
This year will bring together more than 3,000 athletes from more than 200 countries, who will compete in 30 sessions across 20 jam-packed and action-fueled days as both the World Para Athletics Championships and IAAF World Championships London 2017.
