London Marathon Events (LME) has inked a three-year partnership with protein products brand GetPRO, running from 2025 to 2027.
Under the new agreement, GetPRO becomes the title partner of the Bath Half from this year’s edition of the event, which takes place on 16th March.
The company will additionally serve as the official yogurt partner of the London Marathon, the Brighton Marathon, the London Marathon MyWay, The Big Half, and the aforementioned Bath Half, which was acquired by LME last year.
The new collaboration between LME and the Danone-owned brand will also provide participants with information on nutrition and recovery.
Meanwhile, GetPRO has launched a new ‘In it for the long run’ challenge on physical activity app Strava, which will offer a chance to win a place in the 2025 or 2026 London Marathon to users who complete at least two runs per week over a four-week span.
“Whether you’re running the marathon or taking inspiration from the thousands of runners taking on the challenge, GetPRO emphasizes the importance of the moments between active exercise,” said Tom Hickton, Category Director of Dairy at Danone.
“With guidance from a team of experts, GetPRO will help guide participants of this year’s events through build-up to race day, sharing their insights on how to maximise moments in between those all-important runs and celebrating the small victories along the journey, not just the big milestones.”
Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, added,“Preparing for a marathon or half-marathon is a challenge in itself and one crucial element to get right is nutrition.
“As our official partner, GetPRO will help our participants achieve this by providing the products and expertise that ensure their protein levels remain topped up throughout training and give them the best chance to be the best version of themselves on Event Day.”
