UKA and the London Marathon has announced a funding partnership which will aim to further enhance the UKA Endurance Programme and help to produce world class British distance athletes.
London Marathon has agreed to an annual investment up to £150,000 which will be added to UKA’s existing investment into the Endurance Programme, which has been developed over the past year under the leadership of Ian Stewart.
The funding will be used to help finance altitude training camps in Iten, Kenya and Font Romeu, France/
Font Romeu is the European base for Paula Radcliffe, whilst Iten is host to many of the world’s leading distance athletes.
