The Association of Tennis Professionals’ (ATP) Next Gen Finals has announced Lotto as technical sponsor of the event.
The deal, which runs until 2019, will see the Italian sportswear manufacturer provide clothing for technical staff, including umpires and ball boys and girls, during the tournament.
The inaugural tournament will be contested by top seven under-21 players, Andrey Rublev, Karen Khachanov (pictured), Denis Shapovalov, Jared Donaldson, Borna Coric, Hyeon Chung and Daniil Medvedev, as well as one wildcard, Alexander Zverev. Taking place from 7th – 11th November in Milan’s Fiera Milano, the prize pot for the competition stands at $1.2m and will be distributed to competitors depending on their progress in the tournament.
In addition, the event will also trial new rule changes to speed up play, including a 25-second shot clock rule and a maximum of one medical timeout per player, per match.
Andrea Tomat, president of Lotto said: “Lotto is born with tennis and the sport has always been close to our heart.
“The agreement with Next Gen ATP Finals, besides making us proud to associate our name with an event so innovative and prestigious, once again demonstrates our commitment to supporting and investing young athletes.”
