Sport Industry Group has announced an extension of its existing relationship with the Institute for Sport Business, Loughborough University London, which will see the University become the Academic Partner of Sport Industry NextGen, in partnership with Barclays.
Loughborough University in London is a new postgraduate campus on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. In 2012, the Park was the home of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. Now it is the heart of one of the most exciting new developments in London – an emerging innovation quarter that is driving growth in the local region, across the city, around the UK and beyond.
Loughborough University London has joined Sport Industry NextGen to bolster the educational offering for the new initiative’s Winners and Finalists, which will be revealed at the Sport Industry NextGen Awards night in London on Wednesday 27th January 2016.
Recognising that sport with ethical and honest leaders can have a profound, positive and transformative effect on the world it inhabits, the Sport Industry NextGen Awards will help to identify and nurture the future leaders of the sport industry. Spanning six categories, the expert judging panel will identify 30 Finalists who will receive key areas of support to better equip them for future leadership roles. Of the 30 finalists, six winners will be chosen. The Director of the Institute for Sport Business at the University, Professor James Skinner, will sit on the judging panel alongside the likes of Alastair Campbell and Maggie Alphonsi, amongst many others.
As part of the announcement, Loughborough University London is delighted to announce 20% scholarships towards the full tuition fee of Sport Business MSc programmes for 2015 entry, for the Sport Industry Group network. Please contact Loughborough University London Admissions quoting NextGen Partnership for more information and to apply.
The relationship will also see Loughborough University London continue to sponsor Cutting Edge Sport, with a particular focus on sig-staging.ypstagingserver.com/cutting-edge-sport, where the University will continue to supply content to the Sport Industry Group owned website, which highlights sport in progressive thought, invention and digital engagement.
