Lovetheraces.com is relaunching its ‘Voices of the Races’ competition to find new talent to front the horse racing social networking website, with potential presenters invited to submit their applications from by midnight on Sunday 1st May.

The competition follows in the footsteps of the initial ‘Voices of the Races’ campaign which saw eight members of the public originally chosen to front the site across the jump racing season.

These ambassadors were tasked with enjoying racedays up and down the country for free, talking about their experiences through videos, photos and blogs and providing readers with invaluable insights into the races, from what to wear, to the best spots to watch a race.

Their blogs alone have generated over 120,000 views since the launch of Lovetheraces.com in September 2010, and their videos on a dedicated YouTube channel have been watched by over 90,000 people.

Four of the original ‘Voices’ are moving on to pastures new and making way for fresh pairs of eyes across the summer season, who will be able to experience some of the highlights of the social calendar, from the prestige of Royal Ascot to the unique atmosphere of racing’s popular music nights.

Robin Mounsey, spokesperson for Lovetheraces.com commented: ‘We’re looking forward to attracting some sparkling new personalities to the site and the successful candidates are bound to have the most brilliant summer – with Festivals including Royal Ascot, The Derby, Glorious Goodwood and more, and the chance to be there for free, it’s an opportunity too good to miss.

‘Our Voices don’t need to be expert either – whether a family, complete beginner or a wannabe socialite, we will welcome applications from all walks of life!’

With emphasis placed on the fun, social side of racing, Lovetheraces.com was launched in September 2010 as part of the Racing for Change initiative – a project tasked with broadening the appeal of horseracing and attracting new and infrequent racegoers to the sport.
