The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has launched its Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Final campaign – ‘Write Your Name Into History’. Ahead of the final on Sunday 29th Novembr, the LTA is offering fans the chance to write their own names into history with the creation of a bespoke tracksuit that will be worn by the Aegon GB Davis Cup Final team at the closing ceremony.
To enter the ‘Write Your Name Into History’ competition, fans need to share a message of support to the Aegon GB Davis Cup Team. They can do this by either posting a supportive message on the British Tennis Facebook page or tweeting the @BritishTennis Twitter page using the hashtags #BackTheBrits and #DavisCupFinal.
To celebrate the event, the LTA worked with integrated creative and innovation company Forever Beta on the campaign’s creation.
The campaign will also include a launch video, content across the LTA’s digital and social channels, PR and communications, all of which support the governing body’s first ever fully integrated digital fan engagement campaign.
Alex Mawer, marketing and communications director at the LTA, said: “The fan support for the Aegon GB Davis Cup Team has been unlike anything the LTA has seen before. This and the fact that we go into our first final since 1978 gave us the opportunity to create a campaign that could further engage with our key audiences digitally and emotively; whether they are watching it from the stadium or at home on TV.”
