The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and Lexus have extended their partnership, with the luxury car brand becoming the title partner of the ATP and WTA grass court events in Nottingham and Eastbourne.

The extended agreement builds upon an existing partnership that already includes events in Ilkley and Birmingham, the British Open Roehampton wheelchair tennis and juniors event, and all LTA Performance Competitions.

Lexus also holds naming rights at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre and sponsors the national Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup and World Team Cup teams.

As part of the expanded partnership, Lexus will take on naming rights for all of the LTA’s grass court summer events outside of the HSBC Championships at The Queen’s Club.

Lexus will also become the official transport service for all grass court tour events, providing hybrid and electric vehicles.

The LTA has also confirmed that the women’s events at Birmingham and Ilkley will be upgraded to WTA “125” level tournaments, offering increased prize money and ranking points.

The titles of all LTA grass court tournaments outside the HSBC Championships will be standardised to ‘Open’ to improve consistency and recognition.

Chris Pollard, LTA Managing Director, Commercial and Operations, said, “We’re very pleased to be extending our partnership with Lexus, which has demonstrated its significant commitment to tennis over recent years with support for British events and our elite teams.

This partnership will help support our popular events at Nottingham and Eastbourne and the Lexus hybrid and electric vehicles mean that our events will be more sustainable and environmentally friendly. We look forward to the road ahead in this extended Lexus partnership.”
