Puma and Newcastle United has announced a long-term extension to their on-going kit partnership that will see the brand remain the suppliers of all kit, replica and training wear into the next decade.
The global sports brand has been Newcastle United’s Official Kit Supplier since the beginning of the 2010/11 season and the announcement follows last week’s reveal of the new home kit for 2014/15. The new home kit will go on general sale on the 14th August.
Lee Charnley, managing director of Newcastle United, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted that PUMA is going to continue as our Official Kit Supplier into the next decade. Since coming on board in 2010/11, the brand continues to demonstrate their technological excellence with player performance features such as Dry Cell Technology.’
Paul Spencer, general manager Puma UKIB, said: ‘The partnership we have with Newcastle United is an important one to Puma, as we continue to strengthen our brand presence in football. The long-term nature of the new contract demonstrates our commitment to the club and its fans. Newcastle United has a rich history with a loyal fan base and it’s a privilege to continue in our role as Official Kit Supplier.’
Newcastle, who celebrate the partnership at an open day training sessions at St James Park today (Tuesday), kick off their 2014/15 campaign against Manchester City this weekend.
