Manchester City has renewed its global partnership with Unilever brand Rexona.
Rexona, which is known as Sure in the UK and Degree, Shield and Rexena in other markets, has been an official partner to Manchester City’s men’s team since 2018.
The Premier League football club announced an expansion to the deal in 2020 that saw the sponsorship agreement incorporate Manchester City Women.
Now, with a multi-year extension agreed, Rexona will continue as a partner to both sides.
Over the duration of the collaboration, Manchester City and Unilever have worked together on several campaigns, including the integration the Rexona Breaking Limits Programme to ‘equip young people with the confidence and opportunity’ to exercise, as well as activating numerous brand campaigns.

In addition, the renewal will see Rexona continue to benefit from in-stadium branding across both the men’s and women’s facilities.
Unilever has also continued its partnership with brand ambassador and Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez who is set to be integrated into brand activations and consumer experiences across key markets such as his homeland Argentina.
Alvarez commented, “I am excited to be working with Rexona again especially as it helps brings me and the club closer to home through this global partnership.”
Esteve Calzada, Chief Commercial Officer at City Football Group, added, “We’re pleased to announce the renewal of our long-term partnership with Unilever brand, Rexona. Unilever has a long-standing association with football and since becoming a club partner in 2018, has seamlessly integrated with our club, expanding with our women’s team and community programmes over the last few years and we look forward to continuing our successful relationship moving forward.”
Global Rexona Brand Lead, Kathryn Swallow, added, “We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with Manchester City and help inspiring people to move through their passion for football. We look forward to working with Julian Alvarez and the club throughout the next season. We’re not done yet!”
City’s latest deal with Rexona is the club’s second this week. On Monday 23rd October it secured an agreement with UK-based digital image tech start-up SmartFrame Technologies.
