Manchester City and Nike have unveiled the new kit for the 2015/16 Premier League season, featuring the return of a white collar and shorts.
City fans were given the opportunity to launch the new kit with a small selection of fans chosen through the Nike Football App to pose for selfies with their heroes while wearing the new shirt.
Those selfies will then be sent to the supporters via social media from the players who they posed with.
All of Manchester City’s teams, including women’s and youth teams, will wear the new kit as they prepare for the new season.
Manchester City Women’s FC will debut the new home kit in their FA WSL fixture on 12th July.
Each piece of the kit – the shirt, shorts and socks – is constructed with recycled polyester, which is made from recycled plastic bottles that are melted down.
According to Nike, each kit is made using an average of 18 recycled plastic bottles and since 2010 Nike has diverted more than 2 billion plastic bottles from landfills into recycled polyester.
