Manchester United has announced a new four-year sponsorship deal with Mexican banking group Invex, marks the Barclays Premier League champions’ first financial services partnership in North America.
As part of the new deal, Invex will be granted exclusive rights to produce and market Manchester United-branded credit cards in Mexico.
According to the club there are 24 million United fans in the country, with the credit cards offering a range of offers and benefits, including discounts at the club’s online store, signed shirts and match tickets.
Manchester United commercial director Richard Arnold said: ‘Mexico is well known for its love of football and Manchester United is lucky enough to have some 24 million loyal and passionate followers in the country. No-one could forget the fantastic reception the club received in 2010 when the team opened the Chivas Stadium in Guadalajara.’

Invex has recognised Manchester United’s popularity in Mexico and together we will work to bring those fans not just a great opportunity to engage with the club, but also a winning financial product.’
The club already has similar financial partnerships in place with Ekspres Bank in Denmark and Vietnamese bank BIDV.
