One Manchester United fan will have the chance to drive away with a unique Chevrolet Trax signed by the first team in a special eBay for Charity auction launched on Monday.
All the proceeds from The Manchester United Themed Chevrolet Trax Auction, which will be running on eBay until 6th November, will go to the Manchester United Foundation to support its work in the community.
The highest bidder will win a Chevrolet Trax 1.6 LT Sports Utility Vehicle, liveried with a motif bonnet signed by the Barclays Premier League winning team last season.
Apart from the signed Trax, Chevrolet – the Official Automotive Partner to Manchester United – has also donated a number of items including a Wayne Rooney match-worn shirt from his hat-trick match against Hannover in 2012 and a signed shirt from Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic, worn during this year’s Community Shield against Wigan.
Andy Higgins, managing director of Chevrolet UK, commented: ‘We are very excited about The Manchester United Themed Chevrolet Trax Auction. To my knowledge it is the first time that a car signed by the whole Manchester United team has been made available to the fans and I am sure there are plenty of them across the world who would like to get their hands on it.’
‘The money raised from the auction will make a significant difference to the fantastic work carried out by the Manchester United Foundation and we are delighted to be working with them on this project.’
Chevrolet became an official partner of Manchester United in June last year, replacing Audi as the club’s Official Automotive Partner, and will also become the club’s new shirt sponsor from 2014/15.
The Manchester United Foundation works in some of the most disadvantaged areas across Greater Manchester and, according to the official press release, uses the passion for Manchester United to educate, motivate and inspire young people.
The Foundation delivers football coaching, skills training, personal development and life changing experiences, to provide young people with opportunities to change their lives for the better.
