Manchester United has announced a new sponsorship agreement with European Food Public Company Ltd, with the Thai company to become the club’s Official Confectionary Partner in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

The three-and-a-half year agreement with the company, known as EuroFood, will see the club’s emblem displayed on EuroFood products, which include Chocco Pie, Gussen Wafer and Peking Wafer, across the designated territories from April onwards.

The club’s group managing director, Richard Arnold, commented on the deal: ‘We are delighted to welcome EuroFood as an official confectionery partner to Manchester United. We have been impressed with EuroFood’s ambitious approach to dominating the confectionery industry and expanding their operation into new markets across Southeast Asia.’

‘Manchester United has over 55 million passionate followers in these five countries and we look forward to further engaging with these fans through this partnership.’

Manchester United bucked a recent trend of poor results last night with a hard-earned 1-1 draw against reigning competition champions Bayern Munich in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie.
