Nine Manchester United stars took time out from training to demonstrate their artistic ability this week. As part of the Premier League club’s partnership with Aeroflot, the official carrier of Manchester United, players took part in a ‘Paint the Plane Challenge’ which saw the athletes put paint to canvas to recreate a model Aeroflot Airbus A330-200.
Judged by Vice Captain Darren Fletcher, each player was given three minutes to create their masterpiece, with some pieces impressing more than others. Top honours were handed to Angel Di Maria and Michael Carrick, with first place awarded to Ander Herrera.
Manchester United fans have the opportunity to win one of the nine pictures by the players, along with business class flights from Europe to Asia for two people.
Aeroflot has been the official carrier of Manchester United since July 2013.
