Manchester United and official timekeeper, TAG Heuer has unveiled the first official club special edition watches.
At an event at Old Trafford, attended by the club’s group managing director, Richard Arnold and TAG Heuer CEO and president of the LVMH watch division, Jean-Claude Biver, the event held in the club’s megastore saw a crowd of fans gather to be the first to view the exclusive watch collection.
Fans were greeted by club captain, Wayne Rooney as well as first team players, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David De Gea and Ander Herrera, who made an appearance at the store to present the watch collection.
In the run up to the launch fans were challenged to partake in the TAG Heuer and Manchester United pressure test challenge, competing against the clock in a quiz. The four most successful fans were invited to Old Trafford on the day of the launch and competed against the four first team players, with the overall winner presented with a special memento of the day.
The Manchester United and TAG Heuer special edition watches include a tailored design of the Swiss watchmaker’s Formula One Chrono timepiece, featuring the club’s famous red and black colours as well as the club crest.
In addition to this, TAG Heuer has also created a limited edition, Carrera Heuer-01 model, featuring an in-house chronograph caliber and a stainless steel case with a hi-tech matte black coating and Manchester United club crest.
