Reigning Barclays Premier League champions Manchester United have confirmed a three-year sponsorship deal with luxury watchmaker Bulova, which will see the New York City-headquartered brand become the club’s official timekeeper and global partner until the end of the 2015/16 season.
As part of the deal, Bulova will receive brand exposure on scoreboards at Old Trafford and feature on digital advertising boards during all Premier League matches.
The watchmaker will also produce a series of watches featuring the club’s crest, with a range of Bulova watches to be displayed around the stadium, including in the team’s dressing room, at United’s newly renamed Aon Training Complex and at the club’s offices in Manchester, London and Hong Kong.
Richard Arnold, group managing director at the club, said: ‘Although from very different industries, Bulova and Manchester United share many common values. Founded within years of each other, we have both grown to become global leaders in our fields and the first to achieve many new innovations and milestones. We are confident that the popularity, craftsmanship and accessibility of Bulova’s products, combined with the club’s ever-growing global fan base will make this a successful partnership.’
Manchester United, who beat Wigan to win the FA Community Shield last weekend, will kick off their Premier League campaign at Swansea City on Saturday.
