The Vanarama National League has once again been renamed the MANarama National League, as part of a six-week long campaign.

For the second season in a row, Vanarama, the title partner of the National League, has opted to use its sponsorship of the fifth and sixth tiers of English football to raise awareness of prostate cancer.

In partnership with Prostate Cancer UK, the league will change its name until 9th November on the back of last season’s successful partnership which raised £150,000 for the charity. The initiative was also chosen as the winner of the Event or Competition Sponsorship of the Year award at the Sport Industry Awards 2019.

This year, fundraising will take place across each of the National League’s clubs, with an alternative league table to be created to show how much each club has raised.

Michael Tattersall, CEO, National League, said: “We were extremely pleased with the reaction to our temporary – and historic – rebranding to the MANarama National League during the 2018/19 campaign.

“It was fantastic to see so much money and awareness raised to aid the fight against prostate cancer. We are proud this will be taking place over a 45-day period for a second season. Prostate Cancer UK are our official charity partners and we couldn’t think of a charity that better reflects our football values.”
