Manchester United have signed another regional sponsorship deal, this time with Eurobank in Serbia, following on from a number of recent regional partnerships around the world, including food producer Ottogi in South Korea and the European Food Public Company in Thailand

Under the terms of the deal, which United are describing as a ‘first of its kind in the Balkans’, Eurobank has become the official financial services partner of the team in Serbia and will have the exclusive right to market official Manchester United credit cards to the club’s ‘1.2 million followers’ in the country.

The club has a strong following helped in part by Serbian Nemanja Vidic (pictured above, right), who has accumulated over 200 appearances for the Red Devils in his seven years stint with the club.

Philippos Karamanolis, president of the executive board of Eurobank in Serbia, said of the deal: ‘Cooperation with Manchester United is one of the most important business moves for Eurobank.’

‘For the first time in the region, this distinguished club launches cooperation with a bank, and this represents a great honour for both Serbia and us as a partner of the legendary club.’

Based in Belgrade, Eurobank is a subsidiary of Greek financial services company Eurobank Ergasias.
