Manchester United have announced record financial revenue of £666.5m for the year ending 30th June 2025, despite a poor on-field season.

The record figure was driven by the start of a new five-year front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Snapdragon, which contributed to a record commercial revenue of £333.3m.

Matchday revenue was also a record at £160.3m.

The results came despite the club’s men’s team finishing 15th in the Premier League last season and not competing in Europe this season. The club posted an overall loss of £33m, a significant 70.8% reduction on the previous year’s £113.2m figure.

Wages were cut by £51.5m to £313.2m, largely due to a 25% salary reduction clause among players for failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Broadcasting revenue fell by £48.9m as a consequence of playing in the Europa League last season.

Omar Berrada, Chief Executive, Manchester United, said, “To have generated record revenues during such a challenging year for the club demonstrates the resilience which is a hallmark of Manchester United.

“As we settle into the 2025-26 season, we are working hard to improve the club in all areas. As we start to feel the benefits of our cost reduction programme, there is significant potential for improved financial performance, which will, in turn, support our overriding priority: success on the pitch.”
