Manchester United have penned a three-year extension of their longstanding partnership with DHL, which will continue to serve as the club’s logistics partner until 2027.
The renewal will see the 20-time English champions and logistics firm launch a new ‘United for One Goal’ initiative, which will recognise individuals who make a difference within their local communities in areas such as volunteering work and grassroots football.
DHL first partnered with the Red Devils in 2011, when the German company became the club’s first ever training sponsor in a deal reportedly worth £40m over four years.
The partnership extension will also see the continuation of the ‘A World United’ sustainability initiative, which launched in 2020 and allows fans to win prizes such as meeting with club legends.
“We are so pleased to be continuing the longstanding partnership with Manchester United,” said John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express.
“In this next phase we will look to combine the global power of both brands to connect people and improve lives whilst delivering a better world.”
Omar Berrada, Chief Executive Officer at Manchester United, added, “We share many years of positive impactful work, and this will continue globally through ‘United for One Goal’.
“The longevity of the partnership is down to our shared values and our ambitions to use our global influence to drive positive change in local communities.”
