Manchester United Foundation has partnered with PAW Patrol Live to offer pupils from a local special educational needs and disabilities school the chance to attend the live stage show.

Pupils from The Orchards Special School in Stretford, Trafford, a partner of Manchester United Foundation have been invited to attend the upcoming performance of PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure as special guests.

The collaboration forms part of the Foundation’s wider work across Greater Manchester, where it delivers outreach and educational programmes to over 42,000 young people annually.

The Foundation operates across 117 projects focused on youth development, health, education, and community engagement.

Children and their families will join the audience at AO Arena for the touring production, which has included live performances in other major UK cities throughout 2024. The experience follows a visit to Old Trafford earlier in the week, where pupils attended a themed party and received the surprise news of their invitation.

Ian Maitland, SEND officer for Manchester United Foundation, said, “This has been a wonderful experience for our young people and they can’t wait to go to the show.

“Many of the children have complex additional needs and don’t receive as many opportunities as others, but we always strive to give them special experiences through the Foundation and this will be one to remember for them and their families.”

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has extended its partnership with Re:Water, the official water supplier for Lord’s.

The agreement sees Re:Water continue its role until December 2027.

Since the partnership began in 2023, Re:Water has played a significant part in improving MCC’s recycling rates, which have risen from 15% to 55%.

Re:Water supplies Lord’s with still and sparkling spring water in bottles made from 100% recycled aluminium, sourced and packaged at origin in Herefordshire. The aluminium bottles are lightweight, durable, and reusable. Re:Water has also supplied water for major global sustainability events, including the G7 Summit in Cornwall and COP26 in Glasgow in 2021.

Andy Muggleton, MCC Commercial Director, said, “Sustainability has been a priority at Lord’s for some time, which is why it was a straightforward decision to extend our successful partnership with Re:Water.

“Re:Water is a company that is aligned with our values, and since partnering, has helped us to reduce waste as we continue on the path towards becoming a net-zero carbon Club.”
