Manchester United interim CEO Patrick Stewart and Chief Financial Officer Cliff Baty will leave their roles ‘by mutual consent’ at the end of the 2023/24 season, the club has announced.

The respective departures come as part of the latest shakeup at Old Trafford following the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe as part-owner, after the Ineos founder acquired a 27.7% share in the club for $1.65bn (£1.25bn).

Ineos CEO Jean-Claude Blanc will replace Stewart until incoming CEO Omar Berrada arrives on 13th July.

Having worked at United since 2006, Stewart was hired as interim CEO in November, following the departure of Richard Arnold, who had served in the role since February 2022.

Roger Bell meanwhile will take over from Baty as the Red Devils’ new CFO, having previously served in the same role at Ineos.

United announced Berrada’s appointment in January, after luring the 46-year-old from City Football Group.

Joel Glazer said, “I would like to thank Patrick and Cliff for their dedicated service to Manchester United and wish them well for the future.

“Both have been a source of invaluable advice and expertise over many years, and Patrick has served an important role as interim CEO during this transitional phase.”
