Manchester United has announced Snapdragon as its new front-of-shirt sponsor.
The new deal will commence from the start of the 2024/25 Premier League season following an agreement with Snapdragon’s parent company, Qualcomm Technologies.
Snapdragon, a US mobile device technology brand, will benefit from its logo featuring on the home, away and third shirts for both United’s men’s and women’s teams from the start of next season.
United has not disclosed the length of the deal or the financial terms but The Athletic has reported the value at around £65m per season, which, if accurate, would trump £60m deal Real Madrid has with Emirates, the current most valuable shirt sponsorship deal in the world.
Snapdragon will replace TeamViewer on the Red Devils kits. The German tech firm signed a five-year deal with United in 2021 but, in December, the pair revealed a ‘mutually beneficial agreement’ had been reached to end the agreement prematurely.
A statement from Old Trafford read, ‘Manchester United PLC has agreed to an expanded strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, that will see the Snapdragon brand displayed on the club’s famous shirts.’
Earlier this year, the Red Devils signed a £900m deal with kit manufacturer Adidas.
