Match Of The Day To Return To BBC Screens
The BBC has announced a new lineup of football programming to his its screens as it looks to satisfy the nation’s sporting cravings after cancellations cause by the coronavirus pandemic.
A new-look Match of the Day will return to BBC One after a week’s hiatus at its usual time after the 10 o’clock news on Saturday night, with presenter Gary Lineker joining pundits Alan Shearer and Ian Wright to bring their ‘insight, wit and wisdom’ to the screen with the first visual episode of a new podcast series that the trio have launched.
In episode one, the three footballing legends discuss the greatest captains of the Premier League era.
The BBC has also announced a further suite of football programming across the weekend, with classic FA Cup games hitting the screens, as well as the return of magazine show Football Focus, where host Dan Walker will be joined by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Juan Mata, Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling.
