Shortlisted Young Agency of the Year at tonight’s BT Sport Industry Awards 2017, MATTA, has teamed up with EQ Nutrition to create a campaign for their AJ Elite Series of nutritional protein products in line with this weekend’s showdown at Wembley.
Current IBF World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua will go head to head with Wladimir Klitschko under the arch this Saturday for the IBF, IBO and WBA Super Heavyweight Championships of the world.
Joshua chooses to voluntarily use and endorse EQ products, with his own range called the AJ Elite Series. All EQ products contain raw and pure ingredients. They are tested for banned substances in accordance with the stringent ‘Informed Sports’ programme and are therefore suitable for top flight athletes across all sports.
The much anticipated Joshua fight is an opportunity for EQ to leverage their partnership with the boxer, and tell their story, and Stevens is delighted that MATTA have created a campaign that links the fight with the AJ Elite Series product range.
The ad will showcase on social media in the build-up to the fight and will be promoted by influencers with a promotional code for the AJ Elite Series product range.
Simon Stevens, co-founder, EQ Nutrition said:”Steve [Howarth, co-founder of EQ] and myself were really impressed with the structured thinking that MATTA applied to branding and marketing. We’re thrilled with how the AJ Elite Series campaign and how it will support our unique story at EQ.”
“EQ have already done a fantastic job with their brand and product development and we’re thrilled to be helping them with marketing strategy and the campaign.” said strategy and brand director, Matt Hunt.
“Working with EQ is a great opportunity for us to bring our proven sports marketing approach to the nutrition market.
“It’s what’s inside that counts” works equally for Anthony Joshua, the AJ Elite Series range, and the natural purity of the EQ Nutrition brand. “Undisputed excellence, pure quality” will be used as a campaign line.”
