MaxiNutrition has expanded its boxing portfolio by confirming the signing of Anthony Yarde, joining the likes of Amir Khan, Anthony Ogogo and Carl Froch in the sports nutrition brand’s stable.

As part of the deal, MaxiNutrition will supply Anthony with nutritional support and products ahead of the British boxer’s next fight on 17th September and beyond.

Yarde will appear on the undercard of the Canelo Alvarez vs Liam Smith fight this weekend.

Following an unbeaten record in the amateur ranks, knocking out all of his opponents and winning the Haringey Cup in 2013, Anthony was signed by boxing promoter Frank Warren in May 2015. Since turning professional, Yarde has secured a 7-0 record so far in the light heavyweight division.

Anthony Yarde said: “Boxing is an extremely tough sport, and it is crucial that I am on top of my game 24/7. This is why signing with MaxiNutrition, and using their Informed-Sport accredited products, was a no-brainer for me. I now know I have the best possible team in my corner to make me a force to be reckoned with.”

Craig Percival, nutrition category marketing director, MaxiNutrition, added: “We are delighted to welcome Anthony to the MaxiNutrition team. Anthony is an incredibly hard-working and powerful athlete and we hope we can fuel him to get to the top. Anthony has all the attributes required to be a world champion and we are confident that is exactly what we will be calling him in the near future.”
