Floyd Mayweather Jr has agreed a sponsorship deal with fantasy sports brand FanDuel, ahead of his showdown with Manny Pacquiao on 2nd May.

As part of the agreement, the unbeaten boxer will wear FanDuel’s logo on his trunks in the world welterweight title unification fight in Las Vegas this weekend.

In the past, Mayweather has typically passed up the opportunity to sign endorsements in favour of promoting his own brands, such as The Money Team

FanDuel will also have branding on clothing worn by Mayweather’s team during fight week and will be granted six $10,000 tickets to the fight to award to competition winners. No other financial terms were released.

The pay-per-view fight on Saturday night will see the American put his WBA, EBC and Ring magazine world welterweight titles on the line at the MGM Grand Garden, while Pacquiao will defend his WBO belt.

500 tickets finally went on general sale last week after extended negotiations over how the seating allocation would be divided, reportedly selling out on Ticketmaster in one minute.
