The FA has appointed sports marketing agency M&C Saatchi Sport &
Entertainment to handle the governing body’s marketing and PR activity for
grass-roots and regional level football.

M&C Saatchi was chosen to head up the account following a strategic
review of the FA’s marketing suppliers.

The account covers the FA’s marketing activity across a range of areas from
the accessibility of the sport to 5- to 11-year-old’s to specialist football
coaching.

The FA is also in the process of pitching for a marketing agency to handle
its corporate strategy and public affairs account.
Earlier this year, The
FA’s appointed Naked to handle a series of projects, including the Tesco Skills
programme which launched in July.

The FA appointed Peter Daire as head of sponsorship last month to replace
Mark Osikosa, who has left to undertake a client services role at London 2012.
