M&C SaatchiMerlin has announced the signing of double GB Paralympic champion Kadeena Cox. The first British person to win two gold medals in two different sports at a Paralympic Games for 32 years, Kadeena secured gold medals and new world records in both athletics and cycling.

M&C SaatchiMerlin also announced this week that cyclist Bradley Wiggins would be joining its roster.

Kadeena joins Adam Gemili, Jodie Williams, Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Perri Shakes-Drayton as athletes that will be likely to compete for Britain at London 2017 Athletics World Championships on the M&C SaatchiMerlin roster.

Head of athlete management Greg Kirkpatrick commented: “Bestowed the honour of being Team GB’s Flagbearer at the Paralympic closing ceremony highlights the esteem Kadeena’s peers have for her. Her achievements in Rio remarkably become even more impressive when Kadeena explains the obstacles she overcame including being told by specialists what she was trying to achieve was impossible.

“Kadeena lives by a hugely inspiring philosophy that her life will not revolve around MS, MS will revolve around her life and is a testament that anything is possible. With exciting plans ahead that include competing in both able-bodied and IPC Championships, in the 2022 Winter Olympics and most importantly for Kadeena, inspiring and educating even just one person to never give up on their dreams no matter what the circumstance, we will be looking for correct brand and broadcast partnership opportunities that share Kadeena’s vision.”
