Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the owner of Lord’s Ground, has hired Threepipe to run integrated digital marketing and PR campaigns on a range of projects for Christmas 2013 and throughout 2014.
The agency will be using a blend of PR, digital display, paid search and social media advertising to help the MCC achieve its commercial objectives in areas including Lord’s hospitality, events and ticket sales, the MCC Cricket Academy and the Lord’s Cricket Store.
Elly Cockcroft, head of marketing at MCC, said of the appointment: ‘We chose to work with Threepipe because of their understanding of cricket but also because of their ability to create campaigns that link together earned and bought media in a way that not only drives awareness and engagement, but also leads to online conversion and a tangible commercial impact.’
Eddie May, co-founder of Threepipe, added: ‘MCC is one of the great sporting institutions and we are very excited to be working on making more people aware of the variety of what’s on offer, especially with 2014 being the bicentenary of Lord’s Ground.’
