F1 McLaren team boss Ron Dennis faces an employment tribunal after a former employee made claims he was dismissed unfairly on grounds of sexual discrimination.

Peter Boland worked for the McLaren owner as steward on a private jet for five years before being released in 2007. He was officially dismissed after he allegedly fell asleep on board.

Claiming that Dennis fired him for being gay, Boland was first offered £8,000 by the company in June of that year. The money was refused, and Boland instead brought Dennis to a tribunal.

Dennis is estimated to be worth £110m, and owns the F1 team that claims world champion Lewis Hamilton.
