Sport Industry Socials is an exciting new series of informal networking opportunities happening throughout 2022. Each event will focus on trending topics and is ideal for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge and network at the same time.
In the first Sport Industry Socials event of the year – entitled ‘Finding A Fanbase’ – leading figures representing sports on different stages of their journeys – emerging, established and traditional – discuss the challenges of finding and retaining fans in a crowded marketplace.
Joining the panel on 7th July, is David Souza, Communications Director of the ESL Pro League, the world’s premier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition.
Founded in 2015, the ESL Pro League is representative of a relatively established rightsholder when compared with others on the panel, albeit one that is operating in a markedly different digital space.
“I’m really pleased to join the inaugural Sport Industry Socials event as a panellist next month,” said Souza. “Finding and retaining a fanbase is a very deep and nuanced topic, more so than you might think. I’m excited to be brought on to the panel alongside individuals from across the traditional sports ecosystem and look forward to bringing esports’ perspective of this important and provoking topic to the talk.”
The first Sport Industry Socials event ‘Finding A Fanbase’ will take place at The HKX Building in Pancras Square on Thursday 7th July. At present, attendance at Sport Industry Socials events is only open to Sport Industry Members.
