Betfair has announced that Michael Vaughan has signed up to become the brand’s full-time cricket ambassador.

The Ashes-winning former England captain will provide exclusive in-depth analysis of all England Tests and One Day Internationals as well as the biggest domestic matches.

Vaughan, a regular on Sky Sports and BBC, will also feature in a monthly Betfair podcast, giving his thoughts on England’s performances and the major cricketing issues.

As well as exclusive content, the partnership will see Betfair offering customers one-off experiences, including the chance to watch Test matches alongside Vaughan and play golf with the former England captain.

Michael Vaughan said: ‘I am looking forward to sharing my thoughts and tips with Betfair customers over the next year. With Sri Lanka and India in England this summer, followed by our tour to the sub-continent, there will be plenty to talk about’.

England begin their summer season today in the first test against Sri Lanka.

Leo Thompson, UK sports marketing manager at Betfair, added: ‘Our new partnership with Michael Vaughan, one of the most respected voices in English cricket, reflects our commitment to showcasing the best-in-class insight and opinion to help our customers make more informed betting decisions’.

‘Michael joins a cricketing roster that already includes the likes of Sports Betting Journalist of the Year Ed Hawkins and Essex and Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate, providing unparalleled betting coverage of our national summer sport’.
