Michelle Webb has joined the National Football League’s UK (NFLUK) sponsorship team as sponsorship director following a six-year stint with Team GB.
Webb is an executive with 10 years’ experience in sponsorship, commercial marketing and partner management. At Team GB she was involved in three Olympic Games, including London 2012 and the record-breaking Rio 2016, and helped to generate multi-million pounds’ worth of sponsorship deals with brands such as adidas, British Airways, Nissan, DFS and Kellogg’s.
Michelle has worked across events, including Team GB Ball, the PCA Awards and British House. She will work alongside Lindsey Eckhouse, a fellow-sponsorship director, and will be responsible for creating new brand partnerships in the UK, while managing current brand partners.
Michelle said: “It’s a really exciting time to be joining the NFL UK team, the sport continues to appeal to and engage with UK fans, and four games in 2017 gives us the opportunity to grow even more. I’m enthused about the possibilities and look forward to working with brands who can help continue to develop the sport in this country and collaborate on new and innovative campaigns.”
Melissa Brown, vice-president of commercial partnerships UK, added: “We are delighted that Michelle has joined our commercial team at a time of such growth. Michelle’s creativity and natural flair for delivering meaningful brand partnerships mean she will complement our team and vision and help us deliver outstanding results.”
