Premiership club Middlesbrough has renewed its shirt sponsorship deal with satellite navigation equipment brand Garmin in the biggest such contract in the club’s history.
The one-year extension will see the Garmin logo continue to appear on the club’s shirts during the 2008-09 season.
Garmin had initially signed a 12-month principal sponsorship contract for the 2007-08 season but both parties agreed a continuation of the contract.
Garmin, designs and manufactures a range of in-car sat-nav units and electronic equipment serving the outdoor, fitness, marine and aviation sectors with technologies that are sold throughout the world. Garmin has to date sold 25m navigation devices worldwide.
