The Liverpool goalkeeper, Simon Mignolet, has signed representation terms with Activate Management, who will manage Belgian’s worldwide commercial interests.
The deal was struck between the player’s Belguim-based agents, Cherry Sports and Activate Management.
Mignolet, whose Liverpool side are just four points behind Barclays Premier League leaders Chelsea with a game in hand, joins a client list that already includes England cricketers Jimmy Anderson & Matt Prior, England rugby players Luther Burrell & Lee Dickson, and the IBF & WBA Super Middleweight World Champion Carl Froch.
On signing his contract with Activate Management, Simon said: ‘I’m really pleased to have signed with Activate Management and am really looking forward to exploring my commercial opportunities with them around the world. There’s a lot to look forward to at the moment.’
Luke Sutton, Activate Management’s managing director, added: ‘We are all delighted Simon has joined us. He’s a bright guy and we are looking forward to working with him. It is our first step into football and to do so with such a top player is very exciting.’
