Mindshare has won the media planning and buying account for the promotion of
TalkSport’s first foray into broadcasting Premier League matches.
The UTV-owned radio station was awarded the contract in October last year
when it won one of seven 32-game FA Premier League packages for three seasons
from 2007/2008.
The other six packages went to the BBC, which has been the only national
radio broadcaster to cover live, English top-flight games in the history of the
sport.
TalkSport plans to fit pre-match build-up and post-match phone-ins around the
live games.
MindShare was defending its position on the £50m pan-European media planning
and buying account, following a pitch announced earlier this month.
