Gloucester Rugby has agreed a three year deal with Mitsubishi Motors UK, replacing Adey Professional Heating Solutions as the club’s new main partner from July 2015.
Mitsubishi Motors UK has already been a partner of Gloucester Rugby for over eight years, sponsoring the Shogun Bar since the construction of the South Stand at Kingsholm in 2007, and also featured on the collar and shorts of the first team playing strip.
However, the new deal will now see the Three Diamond trademark feature on the front of next season’s new playing, training strip and replica wear.
Stephen Vaughan, CEO at Gloucester Rugby, commented: “I would like to thank ADEY who have been superb to work with as our main sponsor for the past two seasons. We part on great terms, and hope we have helped them continue their impressive path of growth.
“However, we are thrilled to be able to confirm Mitsubishi Motors UK as our new main partner. We already have a strong working relationship and we look forward to building on this over the next few years.
“Mitsubishi is a globally recognised brand with a track record of innovation, excellence and quality.
“Our new partner is based locally in Cirencester but has global reach and share, and very similar aspirations for its business as we do. We both have a burning desire to see Gloucester Rugby competing for honours going forward. It’s a fun, exciting brand and a great fit.”
Lance Bradley, managing director, Mitsubishi Motors UK added: “We have been great supporters of Gloucester Rugby over the years and the club’s fan base runs deep into our organisation. We will be embarking on many exciting initiatives together and are delighted to be confirmed as the club’s main partner.”
