David Morgan has been re-elected unopposed as the England and Wales Cricket
Board chairman for a further two year term of office commencing in April 2007.

Morgan has been chairman of the ECB since 2003 having previously served the
Board as deputy chairman since its inception in 1997.

During his term in office Morgan has delivered a change in governance
structure of the ECB to make it one of the most streamlined national governing
bodies in UK sport.

He has been instrumental in ensuring that 21 percent of ECB’s income is
re-invested in grass roots sport.

Morgan commented: ‘It is a great honour to be re-elected as chairman of ECB.
Much progress has been made in recent years and the prospect of developing the
plans for the Twenty20 World Championships to be held in England and Wales in
2009 and the further expansion of our community projects in particular Chance to
Shine will be a significant focus during my new term in office.’
