High street retailer Marks & Spencer has struck a deal with the Football
Association to become the official tailor of the England national team.
The three-year deal covers the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and will
cover all of the country’s representative sides, including England women and the
England under-21 squad.
The team suits, which will make their debut at England’s first game at new
Wembley Stadium against Brazil on 1st June, have been designed by tailor Timothy
Everest, who already works with M&S on its Autograph range.
Replica versions of the suits, and a range of accessories also designed by
Everest, will go on sale in M&S stores nationwide from 24th May while shoes
will also go on sale designed by design partnership, Jeffery-West.
The England football team went to the FIFA World Cup in Germany last summer
in suits designed by Italian fashion brand Giorgio Armani.
