M&s Hires Pitch For McLaren F1 Work

Marks & Spencer has appointed Pitch, the independent sports marketing and communications consultancy, to create and manage a national promotional campaign as part of the retailer’s partnership with the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 team.


The partnership comprises the creation of the ‘Living the Dream’ Collection, a Grand Prix-themed boyswear range, produced exclusively by M&S which was launched in September.


The kidswear range, which is available in M&S stores throughout the country and at www.mclarenshop.com, has been inspired by the design and technology used by the F1 team and the personalised logos and identities of the team’s two drivers, 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton and Finland’s Heikki Kovalainen. 


As part of the agreement, M&S has committed to donating a percentage of sales from the range to fund a unique national promotion, Living Your Dream, for children between the ages of 5 and 16 to win the chance for their dreams to be realized.
