British tennis number one Andy Murray has signed a multi-million pound
sponsorship deal with Highland Spring – a contract the bottled water brand
claims to be the biggest kit deal of its type in tennis.

As of 1 January, Murray will wear the company’s logo on his left sleeve
during matches as part of a multi-year deal that also see’s Highland Spring as
the new official water sponsor to ‘Team Murray’  – which includes his brother
Jamie and his mother and tennis coach Judy Murray.

The 19-year-old tennis star hails from Dunblane, only 10 miles from the
Perthshire company’s bottling plant.

Murray will also feature as a sporting ambassador in Highland Spring’s PR and
marketing campaign as well as drinking the water as part of his regular dietary
regime.

Already a ‘major supporter’ of Glasgow’s 2014 Commonwealth Games bid,
Highland Spring also has ties to a variety of sports including rugby union,
golf, mountain biking, athletics, running, windsurfing, snooker and bowls.

Murray, currently ranked number 17 in the world, will start the new tennis
season at Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha in the first week in January.
