The National League has inked a seven-year broadcast rights partnership with DAZN, taking effect from the 2024/25 season.

The deal spans more than 200 countries internationally, and will run until the end of the 2030/31 campaign.

UK-headquartered media giant DAZN takes over from TNT Sports, which had previously held rights to the NL since 2013.

The National League has been driving exposure for its matches over the last two seasons. In 2022, it launched its own streaming service, National League TV, which won ‘Best Streaming Platform’ at the FEVO Sport Industry Awards 2024.

The inception of National League TV came after Wrexham part-owner Ryan Reynolds criticised the English fifth tier for not providing direct to consumer (DTC) access to games not selected for broadcast coverage.

“The global exposure DAZN will bring the League and our clubs cannot be overstated,” said Mark Ives, General Manager of the National League.

“DAZN will be using their vast expertise in sports broadcasting and streaming to allow fans in both the UK and internationally to access live matches across all connected devices like never before.

“We look forward to working very closely with them to enhances the viewing experience for all fans that can’t be at the stadium, which we believe is to the full benefit of our clubs and their supporters.”
