NBA Surpasses One Billion Vine Loops

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has become the first organisation to surpass one billion loops on Vine.

The milestone comes just months after the NBA became the first sports league to reach one million Vine followers in April. Since joining the platform in 2013 with a vine of Chris Bosh practicing three-pointers during the NBA Finals, the NBA has built Vine’s largest following among all sports leagues, teams and players, which is currently more than 1.45 million.

At NBA All-Star 2015, Zack LaVine’s Slam Dunk performance drove the league past 33 million loops of the weekend’s events.
