Nespresso Joins 2014 Ryder Cup Team

Nespresso has been announced as the Official Coffee Supplier to the 2014 Ryder Cup, taking place next year at Gleneagles in Scotland, and teaming up with brand ambassador José María Olazábal to create a unique golfing experience for coffee drinkers.

Olazábal and Nespresso will host a series of events both prior to the Ryder Cup and during the week itself.

The matches between the U.S.A. and Europe creates worldwide interest way beyond the two competitive continents, no other competition comes close to the emotion, intensity and atmosphere,’ said Stephane Detaille, International Sponsoring and Events Manager.

‘The passion, excellence and winning team spirit that define The Ryder Cup are values which are shared by Nespresso and therefore, provide the perfect platform for our partnership.’

Nespresso golf ambassador José María Olazábal added: ‘The Ryder Cup is one of world´s biggest sporting events with a proud history, unique team spirit and the fact that a player represents his continent and country, makes this event one of a kind.’

Nespresso is continuing in its position as Official Coffee Supplier for the Ryder Cup, and estimated that it would provide 500,000 Grand Cru coffees across private and public catering areas as well as in the Team rooms and Media Centre over the three days from 26th to 28th September 2014.
